Hi! My name is Melissa. I’m a wedding planner in south Florida, and I can’t wait to help make your wedding day a dream come true!

I’ve been obsessed with weddings since I was a little girl. While everyone my age was watching cartoons, I remember watching shows like My Fair Wedding and Say Yes to the Dress for hours on end. I was blown away by the creativity, love, and pure joy in every single detail, and dreamed of the day that I could create magical moments just like it. I even joined a future wedding planners club in college. Although I decided to pursue a more “traditional” 9-5 career path, I still got to live out my love for event planning through leading major events and concerts at universities across the country. However, my true love has always been weddings. I’ve been my happiest when I’ve had the opportunity to help family and friends plan their own big days.

Fast forward a few years: with Rise to the Occasion, I get to put everything I’ve learned to use to fulfill two dreams: your dream wedding, and my passion for wedding planning.
